The Hill: Tree Planting

To honor, celebrate, and remember the Ruckers service to this parish, shortly before they left for Florida to serve at the Orthodox Christian Mission Center, we planted a Ginkgo Biloba tree on the hill. The tree was placed so that it will provide shade in the future cemetery. The Ginkgo tree is an ancient tree that reminds us of our eternal God and ancient faith. We picked this beautiful tree, non-native to Kentucky, to recognize the Ruckers' service as missionaries in Asia, and as missionaries here in Kentucky.
