Transfiguration

Fr. Stephen Freeman

Fr. Stephen Freeman

“And the Word became flesh and dwelt among us, and we beheld his glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father, full of grace and truth. (John 1:14).”

Early in August the church celebrates the feast of the Transfiguration. As Christ’s disciples climbed the mountain with him, we will also ascend our “mountain” and celebrate the feast on the church hill.

Our dean, Father Stephen Freeman of St. Anne Orthodox Church in Oak Ridge, Tennessee, will preside at the Transfiguration services. Fr. Stephen writes the popular Glory to God for All Things weblog. You can also hear him each week on Ancient Faith Radio in his Glory to God podcast as he reflects on Orthodox theology and life. If you have read his blog or heard him on the radio, this is a wonderful chance to get to know him in person.
