37th Sunday After Pentecost

Sunday of Forgiveness / Cheesefare Sunday

Today, Forgiveness Sunday, is the final day of pre-Lent and the last day Orthodox Christians (unless restricted by health) will eat dairy products until Pascha. We begin the Season of Great Lent with Forgiveness Vespers today at 5pm and tomorrow begins the Great Lenten Fast that lasts through Holy Saturday.

Daily Services for Clean Week are listed on the back of this bulletin or in the Lenten Calendar & Service Guide, or the online calendar. Please try to attend as many as your schedule will permit. Our first Liturgy of Presanctified Gifts will be on Wednesday, the 9th at 6pm and following we will have a Soup & Salad Meal in the parish hall. On Friday, we will have a Pasta & Salad Meal after the 5pm Presanctified Liturgy and before hearing Fr. Silviu speak. Please check your email for a link to “Signup Schedule” to bring food for the upcoming meals. This is a different platform from what we have used in past years.
